Today Is An Anniversary....

...of a sort.
Three years ago today, the man in that picture "tanked" his way into a major intersection of Baghdad, Iraq, and assisted in tearing down the statue you see behind him.

Do you remember that day?

I did a big ole post on Nick, his participation that day, and how he came to be severely injured (head injuries, and eventually, the loss of his right eye), almost a year later, in Fallujah.
Then.....I surfed my blog roll, and of course, "Matty O'Blackfive" does it betta.

And then, when you have a moment, please send your "thanks", and prayer, to ALL of our service members...for what they do......every day...to protect us, and fight, for the right to, "freedom for all".
Because of their service and sacrifice, we all sleep under a blanket of safety.
We owe them so much.
