But Did You Get His Autograph?

I was having an e-mail convo with my "adopted" Lt.Col. "Pinky" when I encountered a "lag". Not unusual. He's in "The Rak", for cryin' out loud, and a very busy man.
His next e-mail explained his absence.
"Sorry. I've been taking care of Charlie Daniels most of the day."

I just luuuuuv C.D. I also appreciate his, and Toby Keith's "walk-the-walk" attitude when it comes to supporting our troops. They don't merely offer lip service. They fly into combat zones, put themselves at risk, for no monitary gain, and boost the moral of "our" boys and girls deployed. KUDOS!

Me: Soooooooooo, didja get me an autographed pic??? *sniff* *whine*

Lt.Col.: I wish you had mentioned that earlier! I had a gozillion opportunities.

Following the last e-mail was another lag, and then....the pic above.
