Bloggers With Guns

Lots of you bloggin' folks seem to be tawkin' bout firearms today. Good 'nuff.
I LOVE firearms, and I own quite a few. My favorite is a Colt .357 Python. Magnum, mmmmmm. I just love the way that werd sounds. It is nickle plated, has a six inch barrel, and Packmire grips. I bought it off a retired, crusty, old trooper and folks, it's a beaut.
I'm deadly accurate.
I remember seein footage outta Nawlins during the early assessment, and recovery efforts for Katrina. The military had mobilized and was doing a BANG UP job of settin' things straight. At some point, there was some talk 'bout relieving civilians of their weapons, and even though I don't live there anymore, just the mention of it got my panties in a wad.
"Take my weapon?!" I don't think so mother fucker. As the sayin' goes, "Outta my cold, dead hand."
I'm not a convicted felon, I passed the Brady, and the last time I looked, my first amendment rights were still in effect.
I'm a responsible gun owner. All of my weapons (with the exception of the Python), are locked up or have trigger locks. The Python sleeps with me, and rides int the car with me. My children were taught gun safety at an early age, but havin a teen in the house that often brings home friends, it is in-accessable. Only I know where it MIGHT be.
